記念すべき５月の一日目。朝起きたら上半身裸だった。（５月なのに毛布に掛け布団が２枚もかけていた）そして雨が降っていた。寝る前に洗濯物を取り込んだとき、湿気を感じていた。
朝起きて、英文を読んだ。そして昨日読んでいた箇所を覚えなおした。

"What I can do of Focusing during the quake is hold a thin bit of awareness around the zipping-electric-tingling, the fears, the understanding of sqashing possibilities and acknowledge what is coming inside me about it. This brings a bit of calm. These aren't all of me; they aren't almost all of me, but they are not quite all."

キーボードは、英文入力に適しているという。そして日本語の入力には、ローマ字入力は効率的ではなく、例えば「親指シフト」のキーボードを使った入力と比べると結果は一目瞭然とか新聞に出ていた。覚えている英文を入力する感覚は、まるでキーに指が吸い込まれていくような気持ちのいいものだった。
（遠くで救急車のサイレン音がする。近所で盗難があったり、とても物騒だ。）
